Cyber Security Architect

Overview

In this role you will help safeguard public-facing services by delivering cyber security and risk engagements for government and public sector clients. You will work with cross-functional teams, lead security assignments, and translate technical risk into actionable guidance for senior stakeholders. You’ll stay abreast of industry trends, shape security architecture, and provide trusted, pragmatic advice. Responsibilities

• Interact with senior stakeholders to understand cyber security challenges
• Identify and apply security risk with familiar control frameworks
• Lead cyber security and cyber risk assignments, producing docs and QA
• Act as subject matter expert to support and guide teams at scale
• Research and articulate complex security architectures for business and technical audiences
• Develop vision and strategy for security architects on projects or technologies
• Provide trusted, pragmatic cyber advice aligned to client objectives
• Investigate major breaches and recommend control improvements
• Contribute to information security policy, standards, and guidelines
• Be escalation point for architects and lead technical design of systems and services

Key requirements

• Experienced consultant in Cyber Security
• 3–5 years in Information Security roles
• 2–3 years in security architecture
• AWS or Azure Architecture and Security certification or similar
• IASME / Cyber Essentials Plus certified
• Knowledge of secure network architecture and technical design
• Experience providing expert cyber strategy and risk guidance
• Broad cyber security knowledge across threats, controls, and incidents
• Threat modelling knowledge
• Proven stakeholder management and communication skills
• SC clearance or ability to obtain
• Proficiency with AD and cloud/virtualisation security concepts
