Education Solicitor

Overview

In this role you will join the Social Care & Governance team as an Education Solicitor, handling a diverse caseload in education law with paralegal and admin support. You will work across tribunals and courts, provide Education Law advice, and contribute to team training and regulatory practice. The role involves off-site visits, advocacy, and active involvement in marketing and business development. You will collaborate cross-functionally to meet deadlines, KPIs, and quality measures, shaping outcomes for clients in education matter areas.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseloads involving 1st Tier Tribunal (Health, Education & Social Care)
• Handle Education Law Judicial Review Claims
• Provide Education Law Advice
• Assist with Training Delivery for team members
• Represent clients in courts and tribunals with advocacy
• Attend off-site visits and meetings (Court hearings, client offices)
• Contribute to development of regulatory practice within the team and department
• Engage in marketing and business development activities
• Ensure adherence to deadlines, quality measures, and KPIs

Key requirements

• Experience in Education law (in-house or private practice)
