Overview
In this role you will shape AI-native engineering at Hult, building systems that empower agents to take on substantial work from idea to production. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to define outcomes, design verification, and scalable harnesses that enable parallel agent workstreams. The role focuses on trustworthy autonomous software development and reducing the bottleneck between invention and deployment. You’ll help the team ship rapidly while exploring new patterns for agent-driven software engineering.
Responsibilities
- Own outcomes and collaborate with product owners to map ideas to production with minimal hand-off
- Design agent workflows where planning, execution, and verification are automated or semi-automated
- Engineer the agent harness including instructions, skills, tools, permissions, environments, validation and feedback
- Develop context and memory systems so agents know architecture, decisions, and product intent without overloading with data
- Foster autonomous software factory progress from intent to deployment with reduced synchronous human intervention
- Build tests, observability, and evaluation methods to verify agent outputs without inspecting everything
Key requirements
- Strong production software engineering experience
- Experience delegating substantial engineering work and focusing on outcomes and verification
- Ability to reason about systems, environments, and agent-based processes
- Comfort working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly
- Experience with AI systems is relevant or transferable
- Collaborative
- Problem-solving orientation
- Pragmatic communicator
- Agent-based system design
- System verification and observability
- Outcomes-focused engineering
