Overview

In this role you partner with customers and internal teams to identify needs, provide technical guidance, and drive demand for Arrow’s engineering services. You will support designs through deep technical knowledge of embedded systems and wireless connectivity, shaping opportunities and design wins. Your work will span discovery, design, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver customer-focused solutions. This is a regionally focused, hands-on role with travel to customer sites and trainings, enabling long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer technical needs across the North UK region and identify suitable solutions
  • Visit customers and engage with them during discovery, design, and support phases
  • Drive demand creation by promoting Arrow content and leveraging engineering and design services
  • Partner with sales on pre-sales and post-sales activities, providing technical support and solution recommendations
  • Support technical discussions to influence design decisions and secure design wins
  • Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Attend supplier trainings to stay current on technologies and market trends
  • Participate in strategic branch meetings, QBRs, customer calls, trainings, and engineering events
  • Support strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solution and contribute to Arrow initiatives

Key requirements

  • Experience in a Field/Application/Technical Sales Engineer or similar role
  • Hands-on knowledge of embedded microcontroller and microprocessor systems
  • Understanding of wireless connectivity technologies
  • Ability to work independently and manage customer/supplier expectations
  • Experience supporting sales with technical discussions and solution selling
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Willingness to travel within the region for visits, trainings, and meetings
  • Typically 3–5 years of related experience with a degree, advanced degree, or equivalent
