Senior Implementation Consultant – SQL Reference Data

Overview

Senior Implementation Consultant at Quant Capital, leading reference data and market data implementations for a global financial technology client. You will architect solutions, manage multi-client deliveries, and align technical outcomes with business goals in capital markets. The role blends strategic oversight with hands-on collaboration across Business, IT, and offshore teams. You’ll work in a client-facing, high-responsibility environment driving timely, cost-aware deployments that enable data-driven trading and risk workflows. This is a chance to own complex data projects within a renowned, diverse client base.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT project implementation life cycle and architect client solutions based on product sets
• Overssee delivery across multiple client implementations in Asset Management or Sell-side banking
• Coordinate with On-Demand/Managed Service teams for smooth handoffs and system upgrades
• Demonstrate problem-solving, decisive under pressure within tight timelines
• Quantify and manage project budgets, draft and track SOWs to completion
• Collaborate as a strong team player, negotiate with stakeholders at various levels
• Provide feedback to Product and Development on opportunities or risks during projects

Key requirements

• Minimum 10 years IT delivery experience in Financial Services or capital markets software
• At least 3 years of leadership in large, budgeted projects with senior stakeholder management
• At least 3 years project planning experience and governance artefacts
• 2+ years familiarity with reference data management (instrument, party, trade data)
• 2+ years team management, coaching and mentoring
• 1 year working with offshore development, QA, and support teams (India preferred)
• Experience in data management projects with complex data flows and centralized data sets
• Project management certifications (PMP) and process improvement (Six Sigma); Agile experience
• Implementation experience on multiple vendor reference data systems (EDM) and front office/risk systems
• Experience building adapters or consuming various data vendor formats (Bloomberg BackOffice, Refinitiv DataScope, Factset, etc.)
