Overview

As an Employment Associate in Cardiff, you will handle a mix of advisory and contentious work for major clients across sectors, with domestic and international exposure. You’ll join a high-performing Employment team and collaborate with colleagues across practice groups, contributing to training, thought leadership, and business development. The role involves advising on disciplinary, redundancy, TUPE, and discrimination matters, and managing Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation. You will support employment aspects of transactions and work in a hybrid, client-facing environment. This is a chance to shape large-scale employment solutions within a prestigious, inclusive firm.

Responsibilities

• Advise on disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, TUPE and discrimination matters
• Handle Employment Tribunal litigation and High Court claims
• Support employment aspects of corporate transactions and reorganisations
• Work with major employer clients across sectors including finance, tech, and government
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups and jurisdictions
• Contribute to client training, thought leadership, and business development

Key requirements

• 3+ years PQE in employment law
• Strong technical knowledge and litigation experience
• Excellent drafting and advisory skills
