Overview
In this high-impact role, you will oversee the financial affairs and day-to-day operations for two Founders and their related entities from a London-based family office. You will steer strategy, budgeting, cash flow and investor/partner relationships, while ensuring governance and tax compliance across multi-jurisdictional structures. Reporting to the Founders, you’ll coordinate with banks, advisers and investment managers, and lead a small team to deliver robust financial reporting and risk management. Responsibilities
- Strategy and budgeting support for the Founders
- Main point of contact with banks, lawyers, tax advisers, accountants, fund administrators, trustees
- Monitor investment performance and liaise with investment managers
- Due diligence of new investments, structuring coordination with legal/tax advisers, review of agreements
- Oversee investment exits and asset disposals; manage incoming funds
- Lead a small team of 2–3 accountants/tax specialists and oversee financial management and reporting
- Tax compliance and reporting; tax optimization
- Treasury and cash management; payments and admin of the family office
- Active involvement with Founders’ charitable trusts
Key requirements
- Experience with family offices, trusts and offshore structures
- Familiarity with private equity fund structures and GP/LP/LLP arrangements
- Accounting background with ACA/ACCA; able to develop into generalist
- Proactive, meticulous, high integrity; strong work ethic and communication skills
- Experience in team management and hiring
- Reporting to high net-worth individuals and managing external advisers
