Overview

In this role, you shape the service architecture for software-enabled Cytiva products to ensure deployability, maintainability, recoverability, and diagnosability across the product lifecycle. You will translate system-level service strategy into reusable standards and work across engineering, service, and implementation teams. Based in Portsmouth or Bangalore, you’ll drive design reviews and establish core domains like data integrity, resilience, and IT/OT integration. You help turn technology into scalable, service-ready solutions with real patient impact.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain service architecture standards, patterns, and guardrails for software-enabled products
  • Drive standardization of deployment architectures, reference designs, and reusable assets
  • Lead Service Design Reviews across NPD and lifecycle programs to ensure deployability, recoverability, and upgradeability
  • Own core design domains (installation & upgrade strategy, data integrity, crash resilience, diagnostics, observability, IT/OT integration)
  • Translate field and service requirements into architectural requirements early in product development
  • Provide technical direction and coaching to peers, contractors, and cross-functional NPD teams
  • Ensure deliverables are standardized, reusable, scalable, and aligned to Cytiva service expectations

Key requirements

  • 10+ years designing, deploying, or architecting complex software-enabled systems or related domains
  • Ability to connect software, infrastructure, networking, data, cybersecurity, and lifecycle requirements into architecture solutions
  • Experience developing architecture standards, serviceability frameworks, or lifecycle strategies
