Business Analyst

Overview

As a Business Analyst you bridge client stakeholders and the MetricStream implementation team to translate requirements into functional configurations on the GRC platform. You’ll map current processes to MetricStream capabilities, identify gaps, and help shape configuration, data migration, and testing strategies. You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery and adoption. This role offers the chance to influence GRC implementations for enterprise clients and contribute to transformative projects. You will be a trusted liaison driving clear requirements and practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to capture requirements
• Document as-is processes and map to MetricStream capabilities (controls, risks, audits, issues, certifications)
• Create Functional Specifications, Best Practices, and process flow diagrams
• Identify gaps between client needs and out-of-the-box functionality and propose solutions
• Translate requirements into platform configurations with technical consultants
• Support data migration activities including legacy data mapping and template preparation
• Assist in creating and reviewing test cases for UAT and facilitate UAT sessions
• Track defects to closure and manage project milestones with the PM
• Support change management activities including training material development
• Act as the primary contact for functional queries and manage client expectations

Key requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, or GRC implementations
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
• Familiarity with SOX, internal controls, risk management, audit management, or regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in requirements documentation, process mapping, and functional writing
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office
• Hands-on experience with MetricStream or similar GRC platforms (preferred)
• Exposure to enterprise clients in industries like banking, financial services, healthcare, or technology (preferred)
• Understanding of Agile and waterfall project delivery (preferred)
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or GRC-related certifications (preferred)
