Senior Quantity Surveyor Civils

Overview

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a specialist infrastructure consultancy, you will own high-value civil packages on a major delivery programme. You will work embedded in a delivery team, shaping commercial decisions, change management, and compensation events under NEC contracts. Your role supports wider commercial strategy and stakeholder engagement in a high-pressure environment. This is a long-term, permanent opportunity on a flagship project with significant impact on project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage high-value civil engineering packages on a major infrastructure programme
• Support complex change management and compensation events under NEC contracts
• Contribute to wider commercial strategy and decision making within the delivery team
• Interface with clients and stakeholders in a proactive, client-facing capacity
• Collaborate with main/principal contractors and subcontractors to optimise commercial outcomes

Key requirements

• 6+ years’ experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in heavy civil infrastructure
• Background with main/principal contractors or strong subcontractor experience
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Strong NEC3/NEC4 contract experience, especially Options A and C
• Experience managing high-value, complex commercial packages
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in client-facing environments
• Chartership is preferred or actively working towards it
