PI / Cyber Underwriter, Financial Lines

Overview

As an Underwriter in the E-trade UK Financial Lines team, you help grow our e-trading business by underwriting new and renewal risk, building broker relationships, and contributing to product development. You will apply underwriting standards, analyze financial data, and ensure timely, accurate information and contract certainty. You work closely with brokers and the broader team to deliver customer-centric risk solutions and compliant outcomes. This role offers exposure to financial lines, PI, D&O, and cyber risks within a collaborative, in-office culture.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business on E-trading platforms within approved authority
• Maintain broker relationships and attend broker events to support business growth
• Analyze financial reports and proposals to assess risk desirability
• Use underwriting systems to streamline data capture and tracking
• Provide accurate monthly MI (submissions, bind rate, premiums)
• Deliver excellent broker service with timely, proactive underwriting
• Ensure regulatory compliance and contract certainty
• Conduct self-audits and maintain customer-centric, fair treatment of brokers and clients

Key requirements

• Some underwriting experience in Financial Lines, PI, D&O and/or Cyber preferred
• Acturis or similar online platform experience advantageous but not essential
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer-service driven with ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
