Manufacturing Engineering Manager – Change Management

Overview

In this role you will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering change management team at GKN Filton, steering the deployment of PLM and ERP capabilities. You will oversee end-to-end change governance, configuration control, and manufacturing process technology across materials, tooling, fabrication and assembly. You’ll partner with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure solutions align with operations and drive performance improvements. Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary project engineering team managing internal and external changes
• Drive the introduction and adoption of PLM and ERP systems across the business
• Ensure compliance of deployed teams to established functional processes
• Deliver robust manufacturing process technology across materials, tooling, fabrication and assembly
• Own end-to-end change management with governance and clear communication
• Lead engineering teams to deliver measurable, performance-driven results
• Act as interface with customers and internal stakeholders to align manufacturing solutions with requirements
• Develop and deploy PLM capabilities with emphasis on data integrity and configuration control
• Prepare engineering readiness for ERP transformation and align data, processes and ways of working
• Define and implement the manufacturing engineering capability strategy including workforce planning and training
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team and foster continuous improvement
• Drive Lean and digital initiatives to improve productivity, quality and cost

Key requirements

• Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering with an engineering degree
• Experience leading engineering teams across operations delivery and transformation programs
• Proven track record delivering complex change (customer-driven and internal)
• Experience with industrialisation (NPI) and in-service production change
• Experience with PLM systems and engineering data management
• Experience supporting or preparing for ERP transformation with aligned master data
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence at senior levels
• Working knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with quality management systems (AS9100, ISO9001)
