Senior Quantity Surveyor (New Build Industrial) | Permanent | South London

Overview

In this site-based Senior Quantity Surveyor role, you will lead financial and commercial activities on a 50m steel-frame industrial project in South London. You’ll work within a traditional contractor setting, collaborating with site teams to deliver on time and within budget while maintaining commercial control. The position offers autonomy on a high-profile industrial build within a reputable contracting environment. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape project commercial success and liaison with stakeholders to support project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage project costs and cash flow, ensuring budget adherence
• Prepare and issue financial reports, valuations, and cost forecasts
• Procure and manage subcontractors, and review variations/claims
• Maintain contract compliance, risk registers, and change control
• Collaborate with site team to support timely delivery and handover
• Monitor procurement strategies and supply chain performance
• liaise with commercial and project teams to resolve commercial issues

Key requirements

• Track record on new build industrial/warehouse projects
• Steel frame experience
• Ability to run projects autonomously up to 50m in value
• Experience with reputable Main Contractor
• Degree-qualified or equivalent qualifications preferred (not strictly required)
• Able to commute to South London
