Associate / Associate Director – Electrical Engineering – Leeds

Overview

In this role you lead electrical building services design and project delivery from our Leeds office, guiding multidisciplinary teams to meet client goals, regulatory requirements and quality standards. You will drive low-carbon, energy-efficient solutions while mentoring engineers and growing the Leeds team. You’ll engage clients, support bids, and help shape projects from concept to construction. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on sustainable engineering and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and commercial leadership for building services projects from concept to construction
• Oversee development and delivery of electrical design solutions across the full lifecycle
• Ensure designs meet client objectives, regulations and Tetra Tech quality standards
• Support performance and growth of the Leeds team, coordinating outputs and project delivery
• Contribute to business development through client engagement and bid activities
• Mentor engineers and technicians; strengthen client relationships and pursue new project opportunities

Key requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
• Chartered Engineer (professional body)
• Strong experience delivering electrical building services across multiple sectors
• Proficiency in digital design tools: IES, Revit, Navisworks
• Strong understanding of sustainable and low-carbon engineering design
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
