Overview

In this role you will manage subcontractors and their payments while driving profitability on live contracts. You will collaborate with site and contracts teams to prepare quotes for ongoing works and ensure timely valuations. You will control costs and coordinate with accounts to resolve any issues, supporting the company’s growth through contract wins. This position offers frontline exposure to project finance in a growing social housing contractor environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors and their payments, including re-measures, meetings, and site orders
• Quote for ongoing works in collaboration with site supervisor and contracts manager
• Use initiative to maximize profitability and coordinate with production
• Manage workload to meet deadlines and ensure valuations are issued on time
• Interface with accounts to manage costs and monthly spend, resolving issues

Key requirements

• Solid experience as a quantity surveyor
• Track record working for a main contractor
• Degree qualified or construction qualification/experience
• Excellent all-round construction skills
• Able to commute to Sutton
