Quantity Surveyor – London Central 50,000 – 65,000 plus package

Overview

In this role, you will support a London-based residential developer by turning high-level design into concrete cost plans and budgets. You collaborate with the development team to shape feasibility and working budgets, manage procurement, and monitor costs to ensure builds stay within budget. You will interact with funding partners and contribute to construction strategy and design development. Responsibilities

• Develop feasibility budgets and convert them into working budgets
• Create scope of works and budget costs from design information and update as designs evolve
• Provide commercial and technical input to construction strategy and design development
• Prepare procurement documents, identify contractors, analyse tenders, place orders, manage payments and changes
• Proactive cost management and reporting to achieve final build cost certainty
• Prepare cost information for external funding agents and secure agreement to construction costs
• Coordinate joint site inspections with funding agents for drawdowns
• Schedule materials from drawings for purchasing and ordering

Key requirements

• 3 years’ experience with a developer or contractor
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Commercial awareness
