Data center Engineer – Fintech

In this Data Center Engineer role, you will own and optimize the physical hardware footprint at European data centers, with a focus on Frankfurt. You’ll collaborate closely with software engineers to align hardware solutions with trading strategies, ensuring scalable, robust performance. The position blends hands-on data center operations, asset management, and regional project delivery in a fast, non-bureaucratic environment. Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure in modern data centers
• Coordinate remote technicians for server racking, patching, and installation changes
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues
• Plan and implement regional projects and changes
• Participate in regional on-call rotation
• Manage assets and inventory across technology hardware
• Maintain technical documentation and improve best practices
• Handle logistics and lifecycle management, including shipment handling
• Travel frequently to domestic and international data centers
• Manage data center power and cooling capacity

Key requirements

• 1-3 years of commercial data center experience
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-profile tasks
• Proficient with Linux command line tools
• CCENT or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of modern data center principles
• Hands-on experience with computing hardware and connectivity
• Knowledge of cabling standards and terminations types
