Senior Quantity Surveyor

Overview

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will support a high-performing region under the Commercial Manager, delivering robust cost control and financial insight across a portfolio of developments. You will drive viability assessments, budget planning, and procurement, influencing project outcomes from bid to site start. The role offers meaningful involvement in land appraisals and cross-functional collaboration to maintain value and performance. This position provides a clear pathway to shape commercial strategy in a leading housebuilder.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate cost reports to the Commercial Director and support project viability assessments.
• Create and monitor budgets for subcontractors, materials, prelims, and marketing in collaboration with other teams.
• Manage annual tendering, subcontract orders, variations, and material control.
• Support land bid appraisals and collect data from bid to site start.

Key requirements

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor in housebuilding
• Strong financial reporting and budget control capabilities
• Proven procurement experience including tenders, subcontracting, variations
• Experience with land appraisals or bid data collection for site starts
