Java Developer

Overview

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide 3rd-line support for Live Clearing & Settlement applications, ensuring稳定 on-call coverage and smooth deployment of releases. You will collaborate with development to integrate updates into live environments and lead major incident recovery and post-incident reviews. You’ll work across internal and external teams to diagnose issues, implement workarounds or fixes, and maintain SLA-driven service levels in high-availability settings. This role offers hands-on technical challenges in a global payments context and opportunities to shape operational maturity.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd Line Technical Support to internal and external parties
• Interface closely with development to ensure bi-directional knowledge flow
• Follow internal and external support procedures
• Recover service via workaround or root-cause fix within SLA
• Lead Major Incident recovery and post-incident reviews
• Troubleshoot application issues with customers, development and test teams
• Support implementation and deployment of new releases into live environments

Key requirements

• Excellent core Java 1.8, Spring, Sprng boot, Quartz, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, Functional programming (Erlang)
• Oracle and DB2 databases
• Websphere and Tomcat servers
• Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• XML, XSL, XSLT
• Experience in large, high-availability, high-volume applications
• Ability to work independently or in a team to meet SLAs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Java-related technologies on Tomcat
• REST, AMQP, JMS knowledge
• Understanding of failover and disaster recovery
• Proven software development experience
