Team Manager – Responsive Services (Children FIRST and EDT)

Overview

In this permanent role, you lead the Responsive Services team within the Children and Family Initial Response Service, the front door to statutory services. You will supervise an out-of-hours Emergency Duty Team and drive quality, safeguarding-enabled decision-making. You’ll shape practice, support staff development, and promote a culture of inclusion. This is a mission-driven opportunity to improve outcomes for Coventry’s children and families while strengthening cross-agency collaboration. Responsibilities

• lead and develop Social Workers within the team
• implement quality assurance standards across the service
• transform and optimise service delivery to maximise outcomes for families
• coordinate out-of-hours social care and housing responses via the Emergency Duty Team

• ensure safeguarding practices meet statutory and organizational requirements
