Professor of Applied AI in Business Management

Overview

In this role you will lead research and scholarship at the intersection of AI and business management, guiding innovation and teaching at the Liverpool Business School. You will help secure AACSB accreditation and TEF Gold while shaping research strategy and curriculum development. You will collaborate with senior academics to drive change in teaching and learning and expand international influence. This is connected to LJMU’s Strategy 2030 and its mission to transform lives through an inclusive civic university.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operationalise research strategy in applied AI for business management
• Provide strategic leadership and mentoring to academics within the area
• Collaborate with the Director of School, Head of Research, and Subject Leaders to drive change in teaching, learning and research
• Lead and contribute to high-impact teaching and learning initiatives with international recognition
• Support Programme Leaders and staff in curriculum development and programme leadership
• Represent the subject at national and international levels to enhance profile and impact

Key requirements

• Significant track record of high-quality publications in leading journals or platforms in applied AI in business management
• Strong record of delivering innovative, high-impact teaching and learning experiences
• Strong national and international academic profile and leadership at subject level
• Ability to lead and develop research strategy and scholarship within the School
