Fire Engineer

Overview

You will join a growing fire safety team to service, maintain and repair fire alarm systems, ensuring BS5839 compliance. The role involves commissioning advanced panels, diagnosing faults across major brands, and providing on-call support within a collaborative, safety-focused environment. Responsibilities

• Programme and commission Advanced panels (50+ devices)
• Diagnose and resolve faults on systems including Advanced, Kentec, C-Tec, Apollo and Hochiki
• Attend emergency call-outs as part of the team rota
• Maintain accurate digital service records
• Provide occasional support with security systems (Texecom, Galaxy, Paxton)

Key requirements

• At least 3 years’ experience in fire alarm servicing and maintenance
• In-depth knowledge of BS5839 and fire industry standards
• Experience with fire alarm systems: Advanced, C-Tec, Kentec, Apollo, Hochiki
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong attention to detail in compliance and fault diagnosis
• Experience with security systems (Texecom, Galaxy, Paxton) would be beneficial
