Overview
As Director, Life Sciences Property Advisory, you will lead the growth of WSP’s offer across England, combining transactional, agency and advisory expertise to shape client property strategies. You’ll build a market-facing presence, secure high-quality instructions, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver value-driven outcomes for occupiers, landlords and investors. You’ll shape portfolio and development strategies, influencing long-term real estate decisions in the life sciences sector. This role offers high visibility, strategic impact and leadership across England.

Responsibilities
- Lead growth of Life Sciences Property Advisory across England and shape routes to market
- Provide market-facing transactional, agency and strategic property advice to life sciences clients
- Lead property transactions: acquisitions, disposals, lettings, lease advisory, rent reviews
- Develop opportunities via market intelligence and client engagement to win repeat advisory work
- Advise on asset and portfolio strategies to enhance productivity and long-term value
- Lead options appraisals, development strategies, market assessments and cashflow analyses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (planning, cost management, programme delivery, sustainability)
- Manage scope, quality, risk and profitability across commissions
- Communicate via reports, proposals, and senior client presentations
- Promote collaboration within HLSA and broader WSP to strengthen client propositions
- Balance client value with WSP’s growth objectives and ensure governance and quality
- Engage with senior stakeholders across executive teams, clinicians, and investors
- Demonstrate WSP values through leadership, collaboration and decision-making
Key requirements
- Strong track record in transactional, agency or specialist property advisory
- Degree qualified, MRICS preferred
- Excellent knowledge of property markets, transactions, occupier needs, landlord/investor drivers and market trends
- Strong client relationship, negotiation, networking, agency and business development skills with evidence of originating and winning work
- Commercial confidence and ability to manage priorities, risk across multiple clients and commissions
- Experience leading and developing collaborative teams with inclusive leadership style
- Ability to build capability in others and foster long-term learning and devolved leadership
- Interest in how digital technologies, data and evidence-led insight can support market analysis and portfolio optimisation
