Senior Information Security Engineer

Overview

In this role you will own and operate core security controls across endpoint, network, identity, and data security within a lean, scale-up fintech. You’ll work closely with the CISO and cross-functional teams to shape security strategy and maturity, leveraging AI-enabled security initiatives. The focus is on delivering sustainable, auditable services and strengthening the overall security posture as you enable secure money transfers to underserved regions.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate security controls across endpoint, network, identity and data security
• Work across the Microsoft security ecosystem (Defender, Entra, IAM)
• Manage and improve endpoint security and email security
• Own Microsoft Entra access management and access review cycles
• Automate and improve identity and access management processes
• Develop the organisation’s approach to data security
• Act as bridge between SOC and Infrastructure/Security teams
• Enhance security tooling, processes and operational maturity
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and wider technology teams to strengthen security posture

Key requirements

• Strong Microsoft security engineering/operations experience (Defender, Entra/IAM, Endpoint Security)
• Experience with Security Operations/Incident Response
• Experience with outsourced SOC or managed security provider
• Technically strong, pragmatic, and willing to learn and take ownership
