Overview

Senior Residential Property Solicitor in Bath joining a growing, purpose-driven Real Estate team. You will manage a varied conveyancing caseload, including high net worth, listed buildings, and rural properties, from instruction to completion. You’ll liaise with clients and third parties, ensure regulatory compliance, monitor WIP and profitability, and mentor juniors. The role supports departmental growth and involves marketing, networking, and using AI tools to enhance service.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion
• Handle freehold/leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and shared ownership
• Work on high value and complex transactions for High Net Worth clients
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, brokers and third parties
• Ensure regulatory compliance and internal policy adherence
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on property law
• Monitor WIP, disbursements, and matter profitability
• Negotiate and resolve issues throughout conveyancing process
• Supervise and support junior team members
• Contribute to departmental growth, efficiency, and strategic development
• Participate in marketing, networking, and business development
• Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and client service

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive
• Experience managing residential conveyancing independently
• Experience handling High Net Worth and complex property matters
• Strong knowledge of conveyancing, property law and relevant legislation
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong organisation, time management, and attention to detail
• Ability to build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships
• IT proficiency with case management systems and legal research tools
• Experience in marketing, networking, and maintaining an online professional presence
• Experience supervising or delegating work (desirable)
