Overview

As Director of Retail Stores (UK / South), you lead and develop a remote-enabled team of Senior Retail Managers to deliver exceptional in-store customer experiences and achieve business targets. You bridge HQ and field by translating global and EMEA strategies into local action, driving performance and continuous improvement. You will shape sub-league performance, share best practices, and champion local nuances in the Nike Direct strategy. This role combines leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic execution to maximize store results and consumer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach Sr Retail Managers to achieve business objectives and store excellence
  • Analyze financial, labor and weekly trade data to identify profitability and performance opportunities
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve sub-league performance and ensure locally relevant calendars
  • Drive Nike Direct strategy across the field and reflect local needs in global/EMEA initiatives
  • Oversee day-to-day labor relations where relevant under local law
  • Ensure adoption of Retail Operations & Services initiatives and maintain Store Standards and Processes
  • Maintain Nike brand standards in stores
  • Support talent development including hiring, onboarding and performance management across the sub-league
  • Review OE and KPI data to identify trends and drive corrective actions
  • Act as a critical link between HQ and the field for new programs and initiatives

Key requirements

  • Extensive retail field leadership experience with remote team management
  • Strong understanding of product assortment, retail financials, inventory management, and loss prevention
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable priorities and field execution
  • Excellent communication, influencing and storytelling to engage senior stakeholders
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration across Retail Operations, Planning, LP, Marketing, Merchandising and People Solutions
  • Willingness to travel regularly to stores across the geography
  • Ability to drive performance through data-driven decision-making and KPI tracking
  • Experience in labor relations within the league where applicable
