Overview

In this Account Executive role you will act as a trusted advisor to UK public sector clients, blending relationship management with technical insurance expertise and strategic programme delivery. You will support complex insurance programmes, advise on risk and framework opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the Public Sector Practice. You’ll work with Account Directors, Practice Leaders and CSEs to deliver innovative risk solutions at scale. This is a pathway to Account Director with a focus on public sector excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Act as day-to-day relationship lead for allocated clients and prospects; build stakeholder relationships and understand client objectives and budgets
  • Support design, placement and ongoing management of complex insurance programmes across multiple lines
  • Contribute to advisory projects, risk reviews, benchmarking and market analysis
  • Develop knowledge of central government, local authorities, education, blue light services and defence sectors
  • Support framework and tender activities (YPO, Crown Commercial Service, regional and central government procurements)
  • Identify cross-selling, upsell and advisory opportunities; participate in new business presentations
  • Ensure governance, regulatory compliance and financial record-keeping across practice
  • Mentor CSE colleagues and contribute to training and succession planning
  • Collaborate with internal specialists to deliver practical and innovative client solutions
  • Support management reporting, KPI tracking and service improvement initiatives
