Front-End Lead Engineer – OTT Delivery

Overview

In this Front-End Lead Engineer role, you will shape scalable front-end solutions for the OTT delivery platform used by millions of fans. You’ll stay hands-on while setting engineering standards, guiding engineers, and acting as the main technical liaison between the team and stakeholders. Your work will influence architecture, performance, security, and accessibility across complex, multi-project initiatives. Responsibilities

• Oversee front-end engineering across projects to deliver robust, scalable, secure, high-performing, accessible solutions
• Plan and coordinate development activities, prioritise tasks and provide technical estimates
• Review technical approaches and code quality to ensure best practices and performance benchmarks
• Identify and resolve blockers; escalate architectural concerns when needed
• Drive adoption of automation, tooling, and modern front-end technologies
• Establish efficient workflows and maintain architectural documentation
• Mentor and support engineers’ growth and onboarding
• Contribute to recruitment and integration of new front-end members
• Contribute to project planning with technical insights and align with goals
• Collaborate with Technical Directors to explore innovative front-end solutions
• Groom planned activities with BA/PO and define acceptance criteria
• Manage technical risks and escalate when necessary
• Act as main technical contact for customers/stakeholders and translate requirements into technical needs
• Present technical progress to technical and non-technical audiences
• Provide on-call support when required

Key requirements

• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with Node.js, Next.js, and SSR/CSR concepts
• Strong knowledge of Tailwind CSS for responsive UI
• Expertise in front-end testing with Jest
• Experience designing scalable front-end architecture for complex apps
• Strong understanding of performance, security, and accessibility best practices
• High proficiency with Git
• Experience guiding and mentoring engineers
• Track record of architectural ownership and communicating trade-offs to diverse stakeholders
