Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design, implement and support cybersecurity solutions for industrial and critical infrastructure customers, guiding projects from assessment to deployment and ongoing improvement. You will work closely with customer and Schneider Electric teams to deliver secure OT architectures and effective risk management. The role combines cybersecurity, networking, and industrial systems to solve complex, cross-functional challenges. This position offers hands-on impact across a broad OT/ICS security domain, with opportunities to mentor others and shape security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support cybersecurity solutions for industrial and critical infrastructure customers
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot network and host-based security technologies
• Develop and review secure architectures, standards, procedures and security controls
• Support system hardening, vulnerability management and security improvement initiatives
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and customer deliverables
• Perform OT cybersecurity risk assessments and vulnerability assessments
• Lead workshops for OT cybersecurity requirements gathering, design and implementation
• Collaborate with customer and Schneider Electric project teams to deliver projects
• Provide technical leadership and act as escalation point for complex issues
• Mentor and share knowledge with other cybersecurity team members

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in OT, ICS or SCADA environments
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security and SIEM platforms
• Strong understanding of industrial protocol security and OT security best practices
• Applied knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, IEC 62443, and CAF frameworks
• Strong networking knowledge including PLC/industrial networks and related protocols
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux/Unix, AD, PKI, certificate management, hardening
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, ESXi, Hyper-V) and scripting (Bash, Python)
• Capability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness to travel 30-50% across the UK and Europe
• Desirable: OT/ICS/Schneider ecosystem familiarity
