Overview

As Associate Director in Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation practice, you will lead testing solutions for Banking clients, shaping QE strategy and test architectures. You’ll build senior client relationships, drive go-to-market propositions, and mentor teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. The role combines strategic advisory with hands-on QE leadership, across traditional and agile programmes. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to scale impact and support growth in a dynamic, global firm.

Responsibilities

  • Define modern Quality Engineering strategies, test architectures, and assurance frameworks for delivery programmes
  • Lead cross-functional delivery with senior business and IT stakeholders to ensure on-time, high-quality QE outcomes
  • Develop and implement go-to-market propositions to attract new Banking clients
  • Shape client QE strategies and roadmaps across Banking transformation programmes
  • Foster senior stakeholder relationships and advise on QE tool investments and methods
  • Contribute to pre-sales, bids, and client presentations to grow Deloitte’s QE propositions in Banking
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to QE accelerators and standards
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally when required

Key requirements

  • Significant experience in UK Banking (Retail, Commercial, or Capital Markets)
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and business-writing skills
  • Experience working with offshore/nearshore teams
  • Experience building and strengthening client relationships
  • Experience in functional, integration, user acceptance, and non-functional testing (performance and automation)
  • Test management tool expertise (JIRA, ADO, X-Ray)
  • Experience with RfPs as requester/judge or responder
  • Experience developing thought leadership materials or go-to-market propositions
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to operate in fast-paced client environments
  • Strong commercial awareness of professional services and transformation programmes
