Production Team Leader

Overview

As Process Group Team Leader, you will drive a safe, efficient production environment across the Process Group, balancing demand, schedules and staffing. You will lead a multi-shift team, coordinate with MRO and programme timelines, and ensure quality and compliance through risk assessments. You will influence performance against budget, implement improvement actions, and develop talent to futureproof the department. This role sits at Safran Landing Systems, a global leader shaping efficient landing gear and braking systems for aerospace and defence. Responsibilities

• Drive a safe working culture across all shifts and act as a key stakeholder in the shift rota
• Lead ownership departments within the Process Group and support wider Process Group needs
• Flow production requirements to departments in line with build lines and programmes
• Complete risk assessments within local ownership areas
• Review activity, performance and progress in line with departmental budgets and recoverable hours
• Balance the supply plan with work prioritisation and staffing/training
• Manage recovery plans and risks related to shortages
• Prepare and present departmental performance and improvement plans
• Oversee succession planning and talent mapping for future department capability
• Ensure assets and SAP adherence for planning and ordering

Key requirements

• Demonstrated manufacturing initiative experience (OLE, KPI-based production monitoring, quality and schedule adherence)
• Strong leadership with emotional intelligence and ability to motivate a fast-paced team
• Experience in people management, decision making, coaching and conflict resolution
• Solid understanding of lean methodologies and structured problem solving
• Strong HSE mindset from prior manufacturing roles
• Desirable: NVQ Level 3 in Management; ERP/MRP experience (SAP) and MS Office proficiency
