Mechanical Engineer

Overview

In this role you lead an M&E team within a London-based engineering consultancy and drive the delivery of complex ventilation-focused projects. You’ll shape design strategy for mechanical installations and ensure compliance with UK standards. The opportunity offers exposure to iconic UK schemes and a strong development culture led by experienced engineers. You will contribute to high-performance building projects and continuous staff development, within a collaborative team. This role combines leadership with hands-on technical work to deliver impactful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the M&E team across projects, including meetings, scheduling, and reviews
• Contribute to design strategy and conceptual design for mechanical installations
• Design mechanical systems to meet British Standards and Building Regulations

Key requirements

• HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Specialist interests/qualifications (e.g., renewable energy, low carbon design, BREEAM, lighting design, LCC)
• Experience with modelling software (IES)
• Experience with BIM/Revit 3D modelling
