Overview
In this role you help grow a dedicated building safety and fire engineering team within a multidisciplinary consultancy. You will work closely with the head of department to expand service offerings and deliver fire safety services across the UK. The position combines technical delivery with business development, client relations, and governance to shape the firm’s future offerings. You will engage on a variety of projects, from risk assessments to government funding applications, contributing to elevated safety standards. This is a strategic opportunity to lead, mentor, and influence building safety practice at scale.
Pay / Benefits

Responsibilities
- Aid the expansion of the team and service offerings with the head of department
- Delivery of fire safety services
- Lender due diligence
- Planning gateway one fire statements
- EWS1 and FRAEW fire risk assessments
- Construction stage reviews and assisting with BSA Clerk of Work duties
- Government funding applications
- Ensure compliance and quality assurance
- Assist in proposal development and client relationship building
- Networking and business development support
Key requirements
- Chartered Engineer status highly desirable
- additional fire accreditations advantageous
- proven background in fire safety/fire engineering/science
- multidisciplinary consultancy experience
