Overview

In this role you will support the Design Manager to deliver coordinated, high-quality designs for major data centre projects. You join an in-house team in Dublin and work across concept through commissioning, collaborating with BIM specialists and external consultants. You will help manage design outputs, change, and technical documentation to meet project standards. Responsibilities

• Support the Design Manager in delivering designs from concept through construction and commissioning
• Produce, review, and coordinate design drawings, calculations, and technical documentation to project standards
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, BIM teams, and external consultants to ensure fully integrated designs
• Assist with Technical Submittals (TS) and align with programme and client requirements
• Respond to design queries and RFIs within agreed timeframes
• Support design change management by assessing impacts on cost, programme, and constructability
• Participate in design workshops, coordination meetings, and internal technical reviews
• Ensure design outputs comply with quality, health & safety, and environmental standards
• Assist with as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and final handover deliverables

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline
• 2–5 years’ experience in a design engineering role within a contractor or consultancy
• Experience on large-scale projects such as data centres or industrial developments is advantageous
• Strong understanding of design coordination and construction methodologies
• Experience with BIM and digital construction tools is desirable
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with AutoCAD or Revit is an advantage
