Overview

In this role you will help financial services clients strengthen non-financial and operational risk management across their enterprises. You’ll work on risk transformation programs, design and implement risk frameworks, and shape risk culture with cross-functional teams. The role offers early client exposure and involvement in high-impact engagements across the UK and internationally. You’ll collaborate with senior practitioners, contribute to growth initiatives, and highlight your ability to deliver clear insights under ambiguity. This is a hands-on opportunity to influence risk strategy in a leading professional services firm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to Risk Transformation projects, including Future Risk Operating Models and Vision
  • Design and implement Risk Management Frameworks (risk strategies, appetite, governance, culture)
  • Liaise with clients face-to-face and remotely
  • Plan and execute engagement projects and manage deadlines
  • Analyse current practices and benchmark against market-leading tools to drive insights
  • Provide research and analysis on Risk Culture, Operational Risk and other non-financial risk topics
  • Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams and support an inclusive culture

Key requirements

  • Experience in Financial Services (insurance including Life, General Insurance and Lloyd’s market or banking) within Operational Risk Management, Risk Culture, and/or ERM frameworks
  • Degree level education or equivalent
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to synthesize complex information and produce high-quality outputs
  • Proactive, creative thinker who can challenge the status quo and handle ambiguity
  • Strong client-facing and networking abilities to build opportunities
  • Willingness to travel to client sites
  • Desirable: familiarity with PRA and FCA regulatory requirements
