Senior Python Developer

Overview

In this role you will join Lyst’s Acquisition Technology team to build scalable, high-impact features for millions of users. You’ll own projects end-to-end, from design to shipping, collaborating with engineers, product managers and data scientists to reduce dependency on external platforms, cut duplicate content, and improve paid search efficiency. You’ll contribute to a Python-centric stack and open-source initiatives, delivering robust, well-engineered solutions at speed. Responsibilities

• Own projects from design through shipping in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
• Build scalable features for a Python-based stack and ensure delivery to deadlines
• Work on reducing duplicate content and optimizing paid search strategies
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers and data scientists to solve high-scale problems
• Contribute to testing, code quality, and open-source projects

Key requirements

• At least five years of production coding experience
• Comfort with Python-based environment; experience with Docker and Git
• Experience building scalable, high-impact products
• Leadership experience delivering projects from start to finish
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and APIs; interest in microservices
• Experience with TDD and working with APIs; familiarity with microservices is a plus
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java for product development
