Commercial Director

Overview

As Managing Director/MD Designate, you will succession-plan to lead a well-regarded manufacturing business through a phase of growth following a strategic acquisition. You will partner with the current MD and leadership to drive growth, improve operations and finance, and build a scalable platform for expansion, with the long-term goal of full MD responsibility. The role offers autonomy, a high-visibility remit, and the opportunity to shape a growing business in collaboration with an international investor. This is a chance to lead transformation and scale in a market-leading packaging company.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial growth and strategic development

Key requirements

• Proven track record of growing businesses/divisions with turnover 10m–40m
• Strong commercial leadership including sales strategy, business development, and revenue growth
• Background in manufacturing with understanding of production environments
• Experience with international organisations is desirable
• Exposure to private equity, acquisitions, or integration environments advantageous
