Overview
In this role you will lead premium visitor experiences at the Sipsmith Distillery, hosting tours, masterclasses and brand experiences while upholding our premium standards. You will collaborate with the Experiences Team to run a growing programme of tours, events and activations and ensure a memorable guest journey. The role combines hospitality, events and brand experience, offering opportunities to develop cross-functional skills in a dynamic, London-based distillery context. You will help shape engaging experiences for thousands of visitors each year and reflect the Sipsmith brand at every touchpoint.
Responsibilities
- Lead distillery tours, cocktail masterclasses and Sipper Club experiences to the highest standard
- Create engaging, memorable and informative experiences for all visitors
- Adapt experiences for consumer, trade and corporate groups
- Ensure experiences are delivered safely, professionally and on schedule
- Maintain the Visitor Centre presentation, cleanliness and organisation
- Manage stock levels and merchandising in the retail space
- Assist visitors with purchases and product recommendations
- Represent Sipsmith with enthusiasm, professionalism and expert product knowledge
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards at every touchpoint
- Uphold brand guidelines and ensure guest environments reflect premium standards
- Lead operational delivery at smaller events under leadership guidance
- Supervise agency staff and ensure safety and professionalism
- Assist with event setup, breakdown and logistical coordination
- Represent Sipsmith confidently at external venues and partner events
- Assist with loading/unloading equipment for events and experiences
- Support transport and event logistics as required
- Maintain equipment for future events
- Support the Experiences Team during busy periods
- Report to Tour Executive and Event Executive
- Collaborate across the Experiences Team to deliver exceptional visitor experiences
- Contribute ideas to improve visitor experiences and operational efficiency
- Demonstrate ownership and pride in the visitor journey
Key requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Passion for hospitality and customer experience
- Confident speaking to groups of varying sizes
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to evening and weekend working
- Full UK driving licence (preferred if event driving is required)
- Ability to lift and move event equipment safely
- Experience delivering tours, tastings or confident public speaking (desirable)
- Experience working at live events or brand activations (desirable)
- Previous supervisory experience (desirable)
