Researcher – Data Center Infrastructure & Technology Impact

Overview

In questa role you will support the Data Center Research Center (DCRS) by conducting rigorous research on industry trends and technologies, translating complex concepts into clear content, and helping produce white papers, briefs, and articles. You will collaborate with engineers, product, and marketing teams to capture insights from field observations and interviews. This is a developmental path toward a Senior Research Analyst, with exposure to subject matter experts and cross-functional projects. You will help shape foundational research used to inform marketing and industry thought leadership.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured research on industry trends, technologies, and customer challenges using interviews, literature reviews, and web sources
• Gather insights and document findings in a concise, structured format to support strategic initiatives
• Participate in customer or field visits to observe real-world applications and collect technical insights
• Interview and collaborate with internal subject matter experts across engineering, product management, marketing, and applications teams
• Draft technology briefs and foundational research documents under guidance of Senior Research Analysts
• Assist in developing white papers, blogs, and industry articles including background research and preliminary writing
• Proofread, fact‑check, and edit research documents produced by EMRC team
• Support content preparation for presentations, conferences, and industry events
• Develop simple conceptual graphics to illustrate research findings and technical concepts
• Participate in continuous improvement activities for EMRC processes, templates, and methodologies

• Bachelor in Engineering or Science
• Knowledge of commercial buildings, data centers, power systems, HVAC, or IT infrastructure is an asset (not mandatory)
• Prior experience in technical writing, research, analysis, or interviewing is beneficial but training provided
