Senior Director, Public Affairs, Strategic Communications

Overview

In this role you will lead strategic communications initiatives within FTI’s Public Affairs practice in London, guiding high‑level client programs and cross‑team projects. You’ll build and manage client accounts, shape programme direction, and expand our network of political stakeholders. You’ll apply fresh thinking to solve complex issues and mentor junior colleagues, delivering outstanding outcomes. Responsibilities

• Manage client accounts and teams, delivering sophisticated communication programmes and issues management
• Set direction for client programmes and team members with minimal day‑to‑day oversight
• Build the team reputation and generate new business opportunities
• Nurture and expand a diverse network of political stakeholders, clients, and contacts
• Apply learnings to bring fresh approaches and invest in junior team members
• Deliver excellent client outcomes across mandates and levels

Key requirements

• Degree level education or equivalent
• Ability and desire to drive business development and attract, retain and expand client relationships
• Strong network of relationships across politics and the public affairs industry
• Capacity to manage priorities across multiple client assignments and firm initiatives
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills in large and small settings
