Overview
In this role you will help invent and improve Medical Devices within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment in Cambridge. You’ll translate inventive ideas into practical devices across drug delivery, diagnostics, wearables, surgical systems, robotics, and electro-mechanical solutions. You will tackle complex problems through fault-finding and creative design, contributing to shaping next-generation medical technologies. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that connects engineering, physics and life sciences to advance the sector.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel medical devices and improve existing ones
- Work with engineers, physicists and scientists to explore concepts
- Identify and solve faults across diverse medical device platforms
- Contribute to cross-disciplinary development from concept to realization
- Support translation of ideas into manufacturable products
Key requirements
- Inventive and innovative mindset
- Experience across multiple medical devices (drug delivery, diagnostics, wearables, surgical systems, robotics, electro-mechanical devices)
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
- Background from mechanical, physics, electronics, software, life sciences or related fields
