Overview

As Managing Associate in Exeter, you will lead transactional real estate work for energy-focused developers and landowners, shaping deals across ground-mounted solar, rooftop solar, BESS, wind, and other renewables. You’ll collaborate with corporate teams on portfolio acquisitions, disposals and financing, while contributing to the growth of the firm’s energy offering. The role involves cross-office collaboration, client relationship management, and business development to accelerate growth in a dynamic energy market. This position suits a senior CRE lawyer who combines strong technical skill with strategic, client-focused problem solving, in a forward-thinking firm culture.

Responsibilities

  • Act for developer and landowner clients in the Energy sector
  • Advise on renewable assets (ground-mounted/rooftop solar, BESS, wind)
  • Support corporate teams on portfolio acquisitions, disposals and financing
  • Contribute to strategic growth of the Energy sector offering
  • Collaborate with Exeter office and wider network
  • Engage in business development and client relationship management

Key requirements

  • At least 7+ years’ PQE in commercial real estate with significant Energy sector experience
  • Strong technical expertise and a commercial, solutions-focused approach
