Finance Analyst – Defence

Overview

In this Finance Analyst role you support Defence projects within a fast-moving team, focusing on financial administration, invoicing, and data management. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate cash management, cost modelling, and timely reporting. The role involves stakeholder collaboration, forecasting, budgeting, and data visualisation to inform project decisions. Responsibilities

• Manage and analyse a high volume of sales invoices with attention to detail
• Support project set-up on D365 and cost models
• Chase aged debts to ensure timely cash collection and reconciliation
• Check, reconcile and receipt supplier invoices
• Gather data from databases and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and proper formatting
• Present financial data to stakeholders using dashboards and reports
• Coordinate timesheets, project deliverables and client approvals for invoicing
• Prepare purchase orders and sub-contract agreements
• Respond to financial/project queries from clients and suppliers
• Support forecasting, budgeting, WIP and reporting
• Assist Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks

Key requirements

• CIMA/ACCA/AAT or equivalent finance experience
• Intermediate/Advanced Excel and Word
• UK Security Clearance must be obtained (SOLE UK National)
• Experience in a Business Partnering role desirable
• D365 familiarity (project setup)
• Strong data gathering and reconciliation skills
