Clinical Negligence Solicitor / CILEX – Cardiff

Overview

In this role you will handle a caseload of complex clinical negligence claims within a nationally recognised firm. You will supervise junior case handlers and contribute to team planning, training and departmental initiatives. Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex, litigated clinical negligence claims
• Supervise and support case handlers under the Group Leader
• Lead case planning, weekly risk assessment meetings and 1-2-1 supervision
• Provide ad hoc advice to junior colleagues
• Participate in team training, marketing and departmental initiatives
• Help maintain and refine case management procedures

Key requirements

• Solid claimant clinical negligence experience with strong litigation background
• Ability to manage complex, high value claims from issue through to resolution
• Experience supervising, coaching or mentoring junior team members
• Strong communication skills and ability to support clients sensitively
• Excellent organisational skills and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
• Good working knowledge of CPR and clinical negligence law
• Proficient IT skills and confidence managing own workload
• Experience with Legal Expense Insurance, publicly funded matters or CFA arrangements would be beneficial
