B1 Licensed Engineer – Manchester

Overview

As a B1 Licensed Engineer, you join AES at Stansted to support Ryanair’s expanding fleet. You will perform line maintenance, conduct defect rectification, and participate in AOG recovery, driving safe operations and compliance. The role includes supervising and mentoring junior technicians, reporting to the STN Station Manager, and working in a fast-paced, unsupervised environment. This opportunity offers hands-on impact in a high-growth European airline context. You’ll contribute to fleet reliability and on-time performance amid ongoing fleet expansion and routine maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and defect rectification of Ryanair’s 737-800 and 737-8200 Fleet
• Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery
• Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment, adhering to company procedures and regulations
• Supervision and mentoring of Aircraft Mechanics and Apprentices

Key requirements

• Aircraft Line Maintenance experience (Essential)
• EASA or UK CAA Part-66 B1 License holder (Essential)
• Boeing 737-Max Type Endorsement & Recency (Desirable)
• Excellent communication skills (Essential)
• Good IT Literacy with AMOS Experience (Desirable)
• Unrestricted right to work and travel in the UK and Full UK Driving Licence
• 5 Years Maintenance Experience context for UK CAA requirements (if applicable)
• Ability to complete EASA HF & Aviation Legislation modules (if needed)
