Overview
In this Technology Lead role, you drive technical delivery and people leadership on aerospace turbomachinery projects. You will work across the product lifecycle, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring quality, safety, cost, and manufacturability targets. You’ll lead a team of engineers to deliver high-quality outputs and participate in technical reviews and governance. The position sits within Infosys’ aerospace/engineering practice, offering exposure to complex gas turbine components and cross-functional collaboration. This is a chance to shape aeroengine design delivery at scale in a global services context.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of engineers to deliver technical outcomes across product development, production, or after-market stages
- Drive delivery excellence and ensure outputs meet quality, safety, cost, schedule, and manufacturability targets
- Perform peer reviews and ensure conformance to customer requirements
- Interface with key stakeholders and collaborate across functions
- Capture requirements and scope from customers
- Create design definitions including geometry, drawings, models, and interface control documents
- Assess and manage non-conformances through DAR/PDG/TAD/QN processes and concessions
- Design modifications for cost reduction and issue resolution in gas turbine components
- Carry out tolerance analysis and fit/form/function assessment
- Collaborate with stress, air systems, and materials engineers; participate in technical reviews and concession boards
- Liaise with customer technical authorities for non-conformances resolution
- Utilize tools such as Teamcenter, UG NX, SAP, and MS Office
Key requirements
- 6+ years of experience with turbomachinery components (gas turbine) in power and/or aviation
- Strong knowledge of aero engine modules: compressors, turbines, combustion, structures, casings, rotatives, airfoils
- Experience in design, development, and non-conformance processes (DAR, QN) and related assessments
- Experience with engine external components installations (ducts, harnesses, pipes, hoses, brackets)
- Ability to create design definitions and manage interface control documents
- Experience in design modification for cost reduction and issue resolution
- Proficiency in tolerance stack analysis (2D/3D) and UG-based layouts
- Cross-functional collaboration with stress, air system, and materials engineers
- Participate in technical reviews and concession boards; liaise with customer authorities
