Overview

Responsibilities

• Produce technical deliverables such as calculations, data sheets, and specifications
• Design electrical systems for clean water or wastewater treatment plants
• Develop and integrate control, monitoring, and telemetry systems
• Design instrumentation systems and main incoming electrical supply arrangements
• Deliver electrical installation designs, including for hazardous areas
• Prepare subcontract specifications and undertake technical bid evaluations
• Ensure CDM, health and safety, and quality compliance
• Attend site surveys and provide technical support during delivery
• Monitor progress against cost and programme, escalate issues as needed
• Drive innovation by researching and introducing new processes and tools

Key requirements

• Degree or higher technical qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and inter-related disciplines
• Proven experience delivering electrical designs for clean water or wastewater projects
• Experience with instrumentation and control systems, monitoring, telemetry, and automation
• Ability to produce and review engineering calculations, specifications, and technical schedules
• Solid project engineering experience within utilities or related industries
• Proficiency with relevant engineering software and strong IT skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to produce clear documentation
