Java and Fidessa Developer – up to 100,000 – Hybrid

Overview

In this role you will support and enhance front office equities trading platforms within a large global BFSI organisation. You will work closely with traders and technology teams to maintain performance, resolve issues, and implement regulatory and system changes. The role offers exposure to complex, large-scale trading environments and modern technologies, with a focus on stability and continuous improvement. You will contribute across the trade lifecycle, delivering impactful improvements in a fast-paced setting.

• Support and enhance front office trading platforms
• Work across the full trade lifecycle with traders and tech teams
• Resolve issues and drive improvements to stabilise business-critical platforms
• Support ongoing regulatory and system changes
• Contribute to performance and stability of trading systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver changes

• Equities / Global Markets knowledge
• Understanding of FIX Protocol
• Java & Linux experience
• Scripting (Python, Shell, or TCL)
• Experience with SQL databases (Sybase / MS SQL)
• Messaging frameworks (IBM MQ, TIBCO or similar)
