Overview
In this role you will manage a varied client portfolio from sole traders to ltds, delivering year-end accounts to final review and handling tax returns where needed. You will also perform ad hoc bookkeeping, respond to client queries, and provide basic cloud training. You’ll work closely with a supportive team, using cloud tools such as Xero, and you will own end-to-end client work with guidance from a Manager or Partner. The position offers flexibly, with full-time or 4-day options, and focuses on continued growth within a busy, expanding practice.

Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a portfolio of clients (mostly ltd companies) from varied sectors
- Prepare year-end accounts to final review stage
- Prepare tax returns and handle ad hoc bookkeeping
- Respond to client queries and provide basic cloud training
- Engage in business advisory work and maintain extensive client contact
- Utilise IT systems and cloud packages, with emphasis on Xero
- Collaborate in a sociable team environment and report to Manager/Partner
Key requirements
- broad current or recent UK accountancy practice background
- qualified or qualified by experience
- several years of UK practice experience
- strong technical skills and good IT skills
- desire to manage own client work from start to finish
