Senior Quantity Surveyor (New Build Residential) | Permanent | Bournemouth, Hampshire

Overview

In this role, you will lead commercial management for new build residential apartment projects, ensuring cost control and contractual governance across multiple schemes from inception to completion. You will work within a reputable, award-winning developer and play a key part in delivering a strong project portfolio from the Hampshire/Bournemouth area. You will collaborate with the wider team to optimize value and ensure robust commercial performance on complex builds. This is an autonomous, hands-on position for an experienced QS looking to impact high-volume residential developments.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects of new build residential projects from inception to completion
• Oversee cost control, budgeting, and cost reporting across multiple projects
• Procurement and subcontractor management to ensure value and compliance
• Contract administration and commercial risk management
• Support value engineering and pro-active change control
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely financial decisions and reporting

Key requirements

• 10+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor on new build residential apartments
• Strong track record in commercial management and cost control
• Experience working autonomously on multiple projects
• Full UK driver’s licence
• Degree qualification preferred (stated as ideal)
